Netflix has officially set the return date for My Life with the Walter Boys and fans won’t have to wait too long.
Season 2 premieres Thursday, August 28, continuing the story of Jackie Howard and the chaos, romance, and emotional fallout she left behind in Silver Falls.
The release date was revealed on July 5th, at the world-famous Calgary Stampede rodeo in Calgary, Canada, where the series is filmed. Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, and Ashby Gentry, who play Jackie, Cole, and Alex, took the stage to share the news with fans.

Where We Left Off
Based on the bestselling YA novel by Ali Novak, My Life with the Walter Boys follows Jackie, a New York City teen who finds herself living with a Colorado family of 12 boys after tragedy changes her life. Season 1 ended with emotional whiplash: Jackie left Silver Falls after a love triangle exploded during Will and Haley’s wedding. Cole kissed her. Alex confessed his feelings, drunkenly, and Jackie decided she needed space.
Watch the Trailer
The full Season 2 trailer just dropped, and yes, it’s as dramatic, emotional, and messy as you’d expect. From horseback flirting to hallway showdowns, here’s your first real look at what Jackie, Alex, and Cole are walking into this fall.
Jackie’s Back, But the Drama Never Left
The official trailer for My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 opens with Jackie Howard returning to Silver Falls, and facing questions the moment she arrives. Grace wastes no time asking what everyone’s thinking: is Jackie still with Alex? Jackie’s answer? “It’s complicated.”
We’re quickly reminded of the messy love triangle that sent Jackie packing at the end of Season 1, including that kiss with Cole. Now, with Jackie back under the same roof, emotions are anything but settled.
Katherine and George keep a watchful eye as Jackie tries to ease back into life with the Walter family. Katherine, in particular, seems aware that Jackie’s sudden exit had everything to do with the emotional fallout between her and the two brothers. “If anybody can do hard things, it’s you,” Katherine tells her in a supportive but honest moment.
Meanwhile, Alex isn’t rushing to pick up where they left off. He tells Jackie he needs space, though his words later in the trailer,“I can’t move on from you,” hint that the door might not be fully closed.
There’s also a new wrinkle: a confident rodeo girl who’s caught Alex’s attention. Grace immediately clocks her, asking, “What’s the tea on Annie Oakley over there?” Jackie replies that she’s teaching Alex rodeo tricks, but Grace doesn’t quite buy that’s all that’s going on.
As for Cole, he’s taking a different path this season. In one breakfast scene, he shocks his family by revealing he’s applying to college. He also shares a quieter moment with Jackie, reaching out to help her and getting pushed away, after she confesses that she’s struggling to stay connected to her past.
The trailer closes on a note that makes one thing clear: Jackie’s return may be the biggest decision of her life, but it won’t be the easiest.
Season 2 Plot Overview
After leaving Silver Falls following Alex’s love confession and her kiss with Cole, Jackie Howard spent the summer in New York City. When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie is determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family.
But fitting back in isn’t that easy. Alex, who changed a lot over the summer, isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting).
Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways creep back in and cause drama.
As Jackie gains acceptance in Silver Falls while trying to hold onto her Howard identity, she’s forced to make a choice that could destroy everything she’s worked to rebuild.

Not a Straight Adaptation
While Ali Novak recently released a follow-up novel titled My Return with the Walter Boys, the second season of the Netflix series charts its own course. This gives the show room to explore new angles and character growth outside the book’s path.
Netflix has also already renewed the series for Season 3, signaling their long-term confidence in the YA hit.

New Cast Additions
● B. HARTFORD (Natalie Sharp) – A champion rodeo rider who catches the eye of one of the Walter Boys. As confident and sure of herself as she is tough, smart, funny, sexy and cool, she has a bit of a chip on her shoulder about being a female in a male dominated sport and knows she’s better than the rest of them.
● ZACH (Carson MacCormac) – A strikingly handsome senior who’s commanding and a bit dangerous. With charm and confidence dialed up to 11, Zach makes strong attempts to get to know Nathan.
● JOANNE WAGNER (Janet Kidder) – Grace’s mom who’s a bit old-fashioned and resistant to change. She’s also a good friend of Katherine’s, which proves a bit complicated as George and Will’s development plans in Silver Falls are underway.
● MARIA (Riele Downs) – A flirty girl in Alex’s Driver’s Ed class, Maria takes a seat next to Alex before class begins – much to Kiley’s dismay.
