The Salish Matter Netflix deal is now official. Netflix has announced a multifaceted creative partnership with 16-year-old creator Salish Matter and her father, photographer and filmmaker Jordan Matter, marking the duo’s first move into long-form projects for a major streaming platform.
Under the agreement, Salish and Jordan Matter will develop, produce, and star in new Netflix projects spanning scripted, unscripted, and animated series. The deal also includes collaborations on consumer products and experiential offerings, expanding their existing creator-driven brand into new formats designed for a global streaming audience.
Netflix confirmed that the partnership will begin rolling out this spring.
How Salish Matter’s Online Success Is Expanding to Netflix
From Weekly Adventures to Netflix Projects
For the past six years, Salish Matter and her dad have built a routine that became the foundation of their online success. Every Saturday, the pair filmed an adventure together and shared it online, gradually growing an audience that now numbers in the tens of millions.
Those weekly videos evolved into a family-focused channel that blends challenges, stunts, and guest-driven episodes. Netflix confirmed that the new projects will continue elements familiar to longtime viewers, including 24-hour challenges and appearances by high-profile guests. Past collaborators mentioned in the announcement include MrBeast, Paris Hilton, and Khloé Kardashian.
In addition to new original projects, Netflix will also make the duo’s existing content archive available to stream later this year.
Salish Matter’s Rise as a Global Creator
The Salish Matter Netflix deal arrives after years of rapid growth across social platforms. Salish first gained attention as a preteen through appearances on her father’s YouTube channel, which initially focused on photography and behind-the-scenes creative work. As her presence grew, the channel shifted into a joint father-daughter project, eventually becoming a standalone family entertainment brand.
Today, the Matter family channel counts more than 34.1 million subscribers and over 13.3 billion lifetime views. Salish’s audience includes a significant Gen Z and Gen Alpha following, particularly among younger viewers.
In 2025, Salish was named Female Creator of the Year at the Kids’ Choice Awards at the age of 15. Outside of content creation, she is also a competitive gymnast and co-founder of the skincare brand “Sincerely Yours,” which was launched in partnership with Sephora. According to the announcement, the brand sold out within an hour of its debut, and its launch event drew more than 80,000 fans.

Jordan Matter’s Expanding Creative Footprint
Jordan Matter enters the Netflix partnership with an established career of his own. In addition to his work as a digital creator, he has built a large following across social media platforms, totaling more than 43 million followers.
He is also the author of two New York Times bestselling photography books and a Kids’ Choice Award winner, which he received alongside Salish in 2024. Netflix confirmed that Jordan will remain closely involved in shaping and producing the upcoming projects, continuing the collaborative dynamic that defined their online work.
In a statement included with the announcement, Jordan Matter cited Netflix’s scale and global reach as central to the decision to partner exclusively with the platform.
Netflix’s Position on the Partnership
John Derderian, Vice President of Animation Series, Kids & Family TV at Netflix, described Salish and Jordan Matter as creators with an established global fandom and a storytelling approach that resonates with younger audiences.
Netflix did not announce individual project titles, formats, or release dates during the initial reveal. No additional casting or creative team details were disclosed.
