XO, Kitty Season 3 Wraps Filming in Seoul, New Faces Join the Covey Universe

Netflix has officially wrapped production on XO, Kitty Season 3, and the spinoff series is bringing some new energy to Seoul.

After two seasons of romance, identity shifts, and school drama, Kitty Song Covey is back, and this time, she won’t be alone.

Filming for the third season concluded in South Korea, with Anna Cathcart once again leading the cast as Kitty. Alongside familiar favorites like Minyeong Choi (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri), Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho), and Anthony Keyvan (Q), the series is adding new cast members who are expected to shake up the dynamic at KISS.

Who’s New in Season 3

Sule Thelwell (Saint X) joins as Marius, a regular cast member whose role is still under wraps but is likely to intersect with Kitty’s storyline in a meaningful way. Two recurring guest stars have also been confirmed:

  • Soy Kim (Like a French Film, Sorry Not Sorry) as Yisoo
  • Christine Hwang (Law & Order: SVU) as Gigi

And in a sign of character development ahead, Hojo Shin, who plays Jiwon, has been promoted to series regular.

Who’s Back

Season 3 brings back the full lineup of characters that fans have grown to love (and argue about). This includes

  • Regan Aliyah (Juliana)
  • Peter Thurnwald (Alex)
  • Joshua Lee (Jin)
  • Sasha Bhasin (Praveena)
  • Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee)
  • Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon)
  • Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison)
  • Han Bi Ryu (Eunice)
  • Sunny Oh (Mihee).

With production wrapped, viewers can expect more details about the plot and release timeline later this year.

Behind the Scenes

Valentina Garza continues as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. She’s joined by To All the Boys creator Jenny Han, Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment, and Bradley Gardner on the producing team. The series is produced by Awesomeness Studios, which has been behind every chapter of Kitty’s journey so far.

Season 3 will pick up after the cliffhangers of Season 2, which ended with Kitty navigating the fallout of her choices and rethinking her future at KISS. With a new cast of characters in the mix, the series is clearly aiming to expand the story while keeping its core heart, Kitty’s search for love and identity, front and center.
