Big Mouth Bids Farewell: Final Season Premieres May 23 on Netflix

Netflix’s critically acclaimed animated comedy Big Mouth returns for its eighth and final season on May 23, 2025 — and it’s going out with a bang.

The beloved series, known for its bold take on puberty, adolescence, and everything in between, will wrap up with ten new episodes featuring an all-star lineup of guest stars, including Cynthia Erivo, Holly Hunter, and Steve Buscemi.

Final Season Synopsis

In the eighth and final season of Big Mouth, the teens of Bridgeton take on high school and its chaotic mix of new challenges: driving, drugs, cancel culture, sexual inexperience, porn, enthusiastic consent, and the looming fear of growing up. Nick gets his first growth spurt. Andrew deals with premature balding. And through it all, friendship remains their greatest coping mechanism.

When several characters hit an emotional low point, Compassion—personified by guest star Holly Hunter—appears to help them navigate the messiness of adolescence with new emotional insight. As they move closer to adulthood, the series stays rooted in what it does best: honest, awkward, hilarious storytelling about the human experience.

It’s a fitting metaphor for a season centered on change, connection, and learning how to care for others—and yourself.
