Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden will lead Netflix’s new six-part adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel, arriving this December.

Netflix has officially set a date for its new adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. The six-part limited series will premiere December 3, 2026, bringing Jane Austen’s Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy back to the screen with Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden in the lead roles.

Alongside the date announcement, Netflix released a new collection of first-look images offering a much closer look at the Bennet family, Darcy, Bingley, Wickham, and Mr. Collins.

The new images put much more of the ensemble in the spotlight after earlier promotional material focused heavily on Elizabeth and Darcy.

Emma Corrin stars as Elizabeth Bennet, with Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Hopey Parish as Mary Bennet, Hollie Avery as Kitty Bennet, and Rhea Norwood as Lydia Bennet. Olivia Colman plays their mother, Mrs. Bennet, while Rufus Sewell takes on the role of Mr. Bennet.

The first looks also introduce several of the men whose arrival changes life for the Bennet sisters. Jack Lowden appears as Fitzwilliam Darcy, Daryl McCormack as Charles Bingley, Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, and Louis Partridge as George Wickham.

What Is Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice About?

The story begins when wealthy bachelors arrive in the Bennets’ neighborhood, immediately attracting the attention of a family with five unmarried daughters.

Jane Bennet develops feelings for the charming Mr. Bingley, while Elizabeth’s first encounters with his friend Mr. Darcy are considerably less promising. Their initial dislike and misunderstandings eventually give way to something much more complicated as Elizabeth learns that her first impressions of the people around her may not always have been right.

Netflix describes the series as a faithful, classic adaptation of Austen’s novel. The six episodes will stay closely connected to the original story while also taking some creative turns.

Dolly Alderton wrote the adaptation, whose previous television work includes Everything I Know About Love, and Euros Lyn, known for Heartstopper, directed it.

Laura Lankester, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter executive produce for Lookout Point alongside Alderton, Lyn and Corrin. Lisa Osborne serves as producer.

Who Is in the Pride and Prejudice Cast?

Beyond Corrin and Lowden, Netflix has assembled a sizeable ensemble for the adaptation.

The confirmed cast includes Emma Corrin, Jack Lowden, Olivia Colman, Rufus Sewell, Freya Mavor, Daryl McCormack, Jamie Demetriou, Louis Partridge, Rhea Norwood, Fiona Shaw, Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery.

Corrin’s Elizabeth and Lowden’s Darcy remain at the center of the story, but the newly released images make clear that Netflix is also putting plenty of attention on the wider Bennet family and the characters surrounding them.

And now there is finally a date for meeting them all.

Pride and Prejudice premieres December 3, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
