Netflix has announced a new batch of UK series renewals, with House of Guinness, Legends, Being Gordon Ramsay and Formula 1: Drive to Survive all getting new seasons.
The announcement also came with updates on several shows that were already confirmed to return, including Black Mirror, Supacell, Black Doves, At Home With the Furys and Love Is Blind: UK. Some are already filming, one has wrapped production, and several now have 2027 release windows.
The Gentlemen was part of the announcement too, with Netflix officially renewing Guy Ritchie’s series for Season 3. We have covered The Gentlemen Season 3 renewal separately, including everything Netflix has confirmed about its return.
For everything else, there was quite a lot packed into one announcement.
Netflix Renews House of Guinness for Season 2
House of Guinness will return for Season 2, with Netflix confirming another six 60-minute episodes of Steven Knight’s 19th-century drama.
Production is due to begin in January 2027, although Netflix has not announced when the new season will be released. Alyssa McClelland will direct, with Knight returning as writer and creator.
Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, Fionn O’Shea, James Norton, Jack Gleeson, Niamh McCormack, Danielle Galligan and Ann Skelly are all listed among the Season 2 cast.
As for the story, Season 2 will continue following the Guinness family and the brewing dynasty as its members deal with their ambitions, relationships, and the expansion of the Guinness empire. Netflix hasn’t provided a more detailed Season 2 synopsis yet, but the story will continue directly with the family introduced in the first season.
Legends Season 2 Will Go Into Production in 2027
Legends is also officially returning for Season 2.
Neil Forsyth will return as writer and creator for another six 60-minute episodes. Netflix says production will begin in 2027, but there is currently no release date or release window for the second season.
The series is based on extensive research and interviews and tells the story of a secret team of British Customs officers sent undercover into the international drugs world with very little training.
Season 2 will move the story further into the 1990s as Britain faces a new and much larger drugs threat. The undercover Customs officers will reunite for an international operation that brings new challenges and enemies.
Forsyth said he was “delighted to have the opportunity to tell a new story” within the world of Legends, adding that the next season will explore how dangerous and important the officers’ work became in the late 1990s.
Being Gordon Ramsay Season 2 Is Already in Production
Being Gordon Ramsay has been renewed for Season 2, and Netflix isn’t waiting around to get started. Production on the second season is already underway, with the new episodes set to arrive in 2027.
The series will once again follow Ramsay across his professional and family life. This time, he has restaurants and his wider business to manage while marking a 25-year anniversary, with his family continuing to be a major part of the series.
Netflix has not announced the Season 2 episode count.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive Will Return for Season 9
Formula 1: Drive to Survive isn’t going anywhere either. Netflix has renewed the documentary series for Season 9, which will arrive in 2027.
The new season will consist of eight episodes and follow the teams and drivers competing in the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. As in previous seasons, cameras will go behind the scenes with footage and interviews following the teams as they prepare for and compete throughout the season.
James Gay-Rees, Paul Martin, Tom Hutchings and Ian Holmes are executive producers, with Box to Box Films producing the series.
Those aren’t the only returning Netflix UK shows with news. The same announcement included production and release updates for several series whose next seasons had already been confirmed.
Black Mirror Season 8 Is Now in Production
Black Mirror Season 8 has officially started production.
Netflix says the new season went into production this summer, although it hasn’t announced a release date or episode count yet. Charlie Brooker remains creator, with Brooker and Bisha K. Ali listed as writers.
Unlike some of the other shows included in the announcement, Netflix hasn’t released a Season 8 synopsis or provided any story details yet. For an anthology like Black Mirror, that leaves the individual episodes and their casts under wraps for now.
Supacell Season 2 Has Finished Filming
Supacell Season 2 has reached a different stage: filming is done.
Netflix confirmed that production has now wrapped on the second season, although a release date has not yet been announced.
Tosin Cole, Nadine Mills, Eric Kofi Abrefa, Calvin Demba, Josh Tedeku, Giacomo Mancini, Sian Brooke and Eddie Marsan are listed in the cast. Rapman returns as writer and creator and will direct alongside Koby Adom.
The series follows five ordinary people from South London who unexpectedly develop superpowers. They initially appear to have little in common, but all five are Black South Londoners who carry the sickle cell trait. Netflix’s latest announcement doesn’t provide a new Season 2-specific synopsis, so exactly where the story goes next hasn’t been detailed here.
Black Doves Season 2 Is Still Coming in 2026
We still don’t have a specific release date for Black Doves Season 2, but Netflix has reaffirmed that the series will return later in 2026.
Keira Knightley returns as Helen, alongside Ben Whishaw as Sam, Sarah Lancashire as Mrs Reed and Andrew Buchan as Wallace. The Season 2 cast also includes Kathryn Hunter, Ella Lily Hyland, Gabrielle Creevy, Agnes O’Casey, Ambika Mod, Babou Ceesay, Sam Riley, Neve Campbell, Sylvia Hoeks, Goran Kostic and Samuel Barnett.
Season 2 finds Helen still passing national secrets to the Black Doves while Wallace prepares to become Prime Minister, putting her in an increasingly dangerous position.
Mrs Reed is also caught in a plot threatening her position within the organization, while Helen reunites with Sam. His circumstances have changed considerably since we last saw him, and their search for answers will bring them back into contact with people from their past while forcing them to deal with the consequences of earlier choices.
Joe Barton returns as writer and creator, with Julian Farino and Kieron Hawkes directing Season 2.
At Home With the Furys Season 3 Is Filming for 2027
Netflix is currently filming At Home With the Furys Season 3, which will consist of 10 episodes and arrive in 2027.
The Fury family will return, including Tyson and Paris Fury, while the new season follows several changes in their lives.
Venezuela Fury and Noah Price will celebrate their wedding and begin married life together. Tyson, meanwhile, is preparing for his return to the ring against Makhmudov, with the series continuing to follow both his boxing career and everyday family life.
Netflix also says the season will follow the family’s move to the Isle of Man.
Alongside Tyson, Paris, Venezuela and Noah, the listed cast includes Prince John James, Prince Tyson II, Valencia, Prince Adonis Amaziah, Athena, Prince Rico Paris, Tommy Fury and John Fury.
Love Is Blind: UK Season 4 Starts Filming in September
Love Is Blind: UK Season 4 had already been announced, but Netflix has now confirmed when production will get underway.
Filming is due to begin in September 2026, with Season 4 scheduled to arrive on Netflix in 2027. The season will consist of 11 episodes, with Emma and Matt Willis returning as hosts and 30 new singles entering the experiment.
The format remains unchanged: the singles will meet and form relationships without seeing one another before deciding whether to get engaged. Those who become engaged will meet face-to-face and then test whether the relationship they formed in the pods can survive outside them.
Before that, Love Is Blind: UK Season 3 is still due to arrive this summer.
The Rest Is Football Adds a Third Weekly Episode
Netflix also included The Rest Is Football in its returning UK slate, although this isn’t a renewal announcement in quite the same way as the others.
Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards are back for the 2026/27 Premier League season, with episodes now releasing three times a week.
The regular Monday and Friday episodes continue, while Netflix has added an exclusive Sunday evening edition. The Sunday episode is designed as a quick reaction to one of the biggest stories from that weekend’s football, recorded immediately after the final game. The first Sunday edition premiered on August 23.
