Netflix kicked off ESSENCE Festival 2025 with a star-powered showcase celebrating the Tyler Perry Universe and its next wave of releases. Hosted by Bevy Smith, the Friday, July 4 event offered fans a first look at upcoming Perry-backed series and films, including teaser clips, cast appearances, and surprise reveals that set the tone for a packed season of storytelling.

Madea’s Destination Wedding

Tyler Perry returns as Madea in Madea’s Destination Wedding, a tropical twist on the fan-favorite franchise.
