Netflix has released the official trailer and key art for In Your Dreams, confirming the animated comedy adventure will premiere November 14, 2025.
The film comes from director Alex Woo (Pixar’s Bao), who left Pixar to found Kuku Studios. Co-directed and co-written by Erik Benson, it blends surreal dreamscapes with a grounded story about two siblings searching for belonging.
A Comedy Adventure Through Dreams
The film follows Stevie and her younger brother Elliot, who tumble nightly into the absurd world of their own dreams. Along the way they encounter Baloney Tony, a sarcastic stuffed giraffe; zombie breakfast foods; and the formidable Queen of Nightmares. If they survive the chaos, they may reach the elusive Sandman, who promises to grant their deepest wish: the perfect family.
Director Alex Woo says the movie grew from a decade-long passion project:
“In Your Dreams began ten years ago, when I left Pixar to start Kuku Studios. One of our first ideas was a film about dreams — why we have them, where they come from, what they reveal about us. Making this movie let me explore those questions in the most fun and fantastical ways possible. At its heart, though, it’s about two siblings finding their way in a world that doesn’t always make sense.”

Behind the Scenes
Produced by Timothy Hahn and Gregg Taylor, the movie combines the creative DNA of Kuku Studios, known for its playful, emotionally resonant storytelling, with the technical artistry of Sony Pictures Imageworks. The score comes from John Debney, whose past work includes some of the most memorable family-film soundtracks of the last two decades.
