Netflix’s Icebreaker has added six series regulars to its cast. Gabriel Tierney, Auliʻi Cravalho, Peter Berry, Chaneil Kular, Devin Craig and Aidan Shaw will join previously announced leads Daisy Jelley and Connor Simos in the adaptation of Hannah Grace’s bestselling romance novel.
Jelley is playing Anastasia “Stassie” Allen, while Simos will play Nate Hawkins.
Who Has Joined the Icebreaker Cast?
- Gabriel Tierney, whose credits include Rivals and Enola Holmes 2, will play Aaron.
- Auliʻi Cravalho, best known as the voice of Moana, has been cast as Lola.
- Newcomer and professional athlete Peter Berry will play Robbie.
- Chaneil Kular, whose credits include Best of the Best, Sex Education and The Accused, will play JJ.
- Devin Craig, known for The Sex Lives of College Girls and Maize, has been cast as Henry.
- Aidan Shaw, whose credits include We Were Liars and Heated Rivalry, will play Russ.

What Is Netflix’s Icebreaker About?
Based on the first book in Hannah Grace’s Maple Hills series, Icebreaker centers on figure skater Anastasia Allen and hockey player Nate Hawkins.
Stassie is a transfer student pursuing her goal of reaching the Olympics, while Nate is a college hockey star with his sights set on the NHL. Their worlds are pushed together after an accident leaves their teams sharing the same rink.
The original novel was first published in November 2022 before receiving a wider release in 2023. According to Netflix, Icebreaker has sold nearly 5 million copies worldwide and spent 70 consecutive weeks on The New York Times bestseller list. The three-book Maple Hills series has sold more than 7.5 million copies globally.
Who Is Making Icebreaker for Netflix?
Amanda Lasher serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer. Her previous credits include Gossip Girl and The Bold Type.
Jade Halley Bartlett created the series and serves as an executive producer. Hannah Grace is also an executive producer on the adaptation of her novel.
Alex Cooper, Matt Kaplan and Mina Lefevre executive produce through Unwell Productions.
