HBO has released the official trailer for War, its new legal drama starring Dominic West and Sienna Miller. The eight-episode series premieres Thursday, October 1, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will also stream on HBO Max.
New episodes will arrive weekly on Thursdays.
War puts two London law firms on opposite sides of a major divorce
Created by Lupin and Hijack writer George Kay, War follows two powerful London law firms, Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne, as they face each other in a major legal battle.
At the center of the first season is the divorce of British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson, played by Dominic West, and international film star Carla Duval, played by Sienna Miller.
The case also pulls ambitious young lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren, played by Archie Renaux, into the rivalry between the two firms.
Phoebe Fox plays Serena Byrne and James McArdle plays Nicholas Taylor, partners in both their personal lives and at Taylor & Byrne. On the other side are Nina Sosanya as Beatrice “Queen Bea” Ubosi and Pip Torrens as St John Smallwood of Cathcarts & Sons.
The cast also includes Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Emma Laird, Aran Murphy, Archie Panjabi, Adrian Scarborough, Shaheen Jafargholi, Akiya Henry, Honor Swinton Byrne, Miles Jupp, Kartanya Maynard, Alexandra Mardell, Dylan Edwards, Mark Quartley and Steve Furst.
George Kay created the eight-episode series
Kay created and wrote War and serves as an executive producer.
The series is co-produced by New Pictures and Observatory Pictures in association with Sky and HBO. Willow Grylls and Matt Sandford executive produce for New Pictures, alongside Susan Breen, Ben Taylor, Andrea Dewsbury and Megan Spanjian for Sky.
Ben Taylor serves as lead director, with Laurie Borg producing the series.
War premieres October 1 on HBO and HBO Max, with the remaining episodes following weekly on Thursdays.
