Netflix Sets Dates for Two Mike Tyson Projects Coming This Fall

Netflix has two Mike Tyson projects coming this fall. The four-part documentary series Tyson premieres October 13, 2026, followed by the one-man show Mike Tyson: Return of the Mike on November 3.

The two projects take very different approaches to Tyson’s life. The first looks back at his career and personal history across four hour-long episodes, while Return of the Mike brings him back to the stage for the first time since Undisputed Truth in 2013.

Tyson arrives on Netflix October 13

Tyson is a four-part documentary series following the former heavyweight champion’s life from his childhood in Brooklyn through his rise in boxing and the fame and controversy that followed.

According to Netflix, Tyson addresses his own choices and the pressures and personal consequences that came with his career.

Each of the documentary’s four episodes will run approximately 60 minutes.

Floyd Russ directs the series, with Jenna Millman, Jacob Miller and Alexa Ginsburg producing. Jim Gray, Ian Orefice, Amanda Spain, Jonna McLaughlin, Greg C. Lake, Michael Hughes, Douglas Banker, Russ and Bill Simmons serve as executive producers.

David Bolen and Jacob Moller are directors of photography, with music by Raffertie. Wax Taber and Dan Duran edited the series.

Netflix has also released the trailer and key art ahead of the October premiere.

Mike Tyson: Return of the Mike brings Tyson back to the stage

Three weeks later, Netflix will release Mike Tyson: Return of the Mike on November 3.

The one-man show was filmed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and marks Tyson’s first stage show since Undisputed Truth in 2013.

This time, Tyson uses comedy to tell stories from his life and address subjects including addiction and mental health.

Kiki Tyson directs Return of the Mike. She also serves as an executive producer alongside Mike Tyson and Marc Lieberman. Above Average is the production company behind the special.

With the two release dates now set, Netflix will first release the four-part Tyson documentary series on October 13 before following it with Mike Tyson: Return of the Mike on November 3.
