Peacock has released the official trailer for Crystal Lake, its upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series starring Linda Cardellini as Pam Voorhees. The streamer also released new images and key art ahead of the show’s October 15, 2026 premiere.
All eight episodes of Crystal Lake will be available on Peacock on the same day.
The Crystal Lake trailer puts Pam Voorhees at the center of the story
Crystal Lake takes place before the events of the Friday the 13th franchise and follows Pam Voorhees nearly a year after the death of her son Jason.
Jason, described by Peacock as a sickly young boy, drowned in the town lake. Pam has been unable to move past his death when two strangers arrive at her door and begin digging into her past.
Their arrival sets off a series of disturbing events in Crystal Lake and raises questions among the town’s residents about who Pam really is.
Cardellini leads the series as Pam Voorhees. Peacock previously released the first images from the series in July, while the new September materials include the full trailer, key art and additional photos.
Who is in the Crystal Lake cast?
Alongside Linda Cardellini, the series regular cast includes William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom.
Callum Vinson, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch and Phoenix Parnevik have recurring roles.
Peacock has not provided character details for most of the supporting cast.
Crystal Lake comes from A24 and Brad Caleb Kane
Brad Caleb Kane created Crystal Lake and serves as writer, showrunner and executive producer. His previous credits include It: Welcome to Derry, Tokyo Vice and Warrior.
The series is produced by A24.
Michael Lennox directs Episodes 1 through 3. Celine Held and Logan George direct Episodes 4 through 6, while Quyen Tran directs the final two episodes.
Kane executive produces alongside Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox and Roy Lee.
All eight Crystal Lake episodes arrive October 15
Crystal Lake consists of eight episodes running approximately 60 minutes each.
Peacock is releasing the full season at once. All eight episodes will be available to stream beginning Thursday, October 15, 2026.
