Things We Never Got Over Cast: Prime Video Finds Its Naomi, Knox and Nash

Prime Video has found the leads for its adaptation of Lucy Score’s Things We Never Got Over. Molly Griggs will play both Naomi Witt and her twin sister Tina, while Matthew Noszka has been cast as Knox Morgan and Tommy Martinez as Nash Morgan.

The casting announcement comes with another important update: the series is officially in production. Prime Video has not announced a release date yet.

Molly Griggs will play both Naomi and Tina Witt

Griggs is taking on two roles in Things We Never Got Over, playing estranged twins Naomi and Tina Witt.

The story begins when Naomi, a runaway bride, arrives in Knockemout, Virginia, intending to help Tina before returning to the life she left behind. Things quickly change when Tina disappears and leaves Naomi responsible for a niece she didn’t know existed.

Griggs recently played White House Social Secretary Lilly Schumacher in Netflix’s The Residence. Her television credits also include Succession, Servant, Dr. Death and Prodigal Son, while she has appeared on Broadway in John Proctor is the Villain and Hello, Dolly!

Matthew Noszka and Tommy Martinez are the Morgan brothers

Matthew Noszka will play Knox Morgan, while Tommy Martinez has been cast as his brother, Nash Morgan.

Knox is described as grumpy and immediately becomes part of Naomi’s unexpected new life in Knockemout. Nash is the town’s sheriff and is described as the more charming of the two brothers.

Noszka most recently appeared as Chase in Hulu’s All’s Fair. His previous credits include No Hard Feelings, Let It Snow, Perfect Addiction and Marked Men.

Martinez is known for playing Gael Martinez in Good Trouble and has also appeared in Laid, Riverdale, Hunters, The Mosquito Coast and Bosch. He recently worked on Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day alongside Emily Blunt, Colin Firth and Colman Domingo.

Things We Never Got Over is now in production

Prime Video confirmed alongside the casting news that Things We Never Got Over is now in production, although the announcement did not include filming dates or a premiere window.

Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder wrote the pilot and will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Gina Girolamo is also executive producing through Strega Stories, with Lucy Score serving as co-executive producer. Amazon MGM Studios is producing the series.

The adaptation is based on the first novel in Score’s Knockemout trilogy. Published in 2022, Things We Never Got Over spent 32 consecutive weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. The trilogy was completed in 2023.

Score has sold more than 15 million books across 35 languages.

Prime Video says the series will be available in more than 240 countries and territories when it premieres. A release date has not yet been announced.
