Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz are reuniting at the 78th Emmy Awards to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
NBC and the Television Academy announced the anniversary celebration as part of several additions to the ceremony, which airs live Monday, September 14 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock.

Gellar starred as Buffy Summers throughout all seven seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, while Boreanaz played Angel before leading the spinoff series Angel.
NBC hasn’t provided further details about what their 30th anniversary appearance will include, describing it simply as a celebration during the broadcast.
The Emmys will also mark another major TV anniversary. Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith will appear for a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels.
Noah Kahan will perform during the In Memoriam segment
Noah Kahan will take part in this year’s In Memoriam tribute, performing “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
The ceremony will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay, who is also serving as an executive producer of the telecast alongside Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay.
Presenters already announced include Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Keke Palmer, Jon Hamm, Amy Poehler, Macaulay Culkin, Sally Field, Dan Levy, Niecy Nash-Betts and Alan Cumming, among others. Additional presenters are still to be announced.
The 78th Emmy Awards will air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, September 14 on NBC and Peacock.
