Prime Video has released the first official images from Boys of Tommen, giving us our first look at Conor Sánchez as Johnny Kavanagh and Nancy Surridge as Shannon Lynch. The adaptation of Chloe Walsh’s bestselling book series is now in production.
The images were unveiled at Prime Video’s Obsessed Retreat: Class of ’26 in Germany and mark the first official look at the two characters at the center of the series.
Boys of Tommen’s first look introduces Johnny and Shannon
Sánchez plays Johnny, the star rugby player whose future career is threatened by an injury he is keeping secret. Surridge stars opposite him as Shannon, a shy new student at Tommen College who is dealing with a violent home life.
Their relationship is at the center of the first season, which adapts Binding 13 and Keeping 13, the first two books in Walsh’s series.
Johnny and Shannon come from very different lives, but their growing connection brings them closer as both struggle with what they are hiding from the people around them.
The first official images focus on Sánchez and Surridge, and don’t introduce the rest of the large ensemble cast.
Boys of Tommen is now in production
Prime Video also confirmed that Boys of Tommen is currently in production, following its greenlight earlier this year.
Brendan Canty is directing the series, with Poppy Cogan adapting the first season. Cogan previously worked on A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and also serves as an executive producer alongside Walsh.
The wider cast includes James O’Donoghue as Joey Lynch and Sophie McGibbon as Aoife Molloy. Amelia May plays Claire Biggs, John Hewson is Gerard Gibson, Indy Lewis is Lizzie Young, Alex Dunne plays Hugh Biggs, Dixie Egerickx is Katie Wilmot and Jamie Schneider plays Patrick Feely.
Daisy Jacob, Jonathan Heed, Cathal Ó Síocháin, James Craven and Lewis Brophy have also joined the younger ensemble.
Eoin Macken plays Teddy Lynch, with Róisín Gallagher as Marie Lynch. Amy Huberman has been cast as Edel Kavanagh, Jonathan Forbes as John Snr and Tristan Heanue as Tony Molloy. Harvey Moloney and Cobhan O’Brien play Shannon’s younger brothers Ollie and Tadhg Lynch.
When will Boys of Tommen be released?
Prime Video has not announced a release date for Boys of Tommen yet.
The series will eventually premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. With production currently underway, we’ll have to wait for Prime Video to confirm when Johnny, Shannon and the rest of the Tommen characters will make their streaming debut.
