Netflix has expanded its broadcast team for the first regular-season NFL game to be played in Australia, with the San Francisco 49ers facing the Los Angeles Rams at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on September 10.
Coverage of the Netflix NFL Melbourne game begins at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by kickoff at 8:30 p.m. ET. In Australia, the game takes place on September 11, with kickoff at 10:30 a.m. AEST.
Who Is Calling the 49ers-Rams Game on Netflix?
Noah Eagle will handle play-by-play for the game, marking his third year with Netflix, with Pro Football Hall of Famer Luke Kuechly joining him as booth analyst.
Tom Pelissero and MJ Acosta-Ruiz will report from the sidelines, while three-time Super Bowl referee Terry McAulay joins the coverage as rules analyst.
The studio team will be led by Elle Duncan as desk host, alongside Michael Irvin, Nick Foles, and Clay Matthews III.
Netflix also confirmed additional broadcast teams for several languages. Samyr Hamoudi and Philippe Gardent will provide French coverage, while Flo Hauser and Dominik Eberle will handle the German broadcast.
Luís Felipe Freitas and Raphão Martins make up the Brazilian Portuguese team, with Enrique Garay and Raúl Allegre providing Spanish coverage.
The studio desk and in-game broadcast team will continue across Netflix’s full 2026-27 NFL slate, with additional names still to be announced.
Netflix’s 2026-27 NFL Schedule Goes Beyond Melbourne
The Melbourne game is the first of several NFL broadcasts coming to Netflix during the 2026-27 season.
Netflix will stream the NFL’s first Thanksgiving Eve game on November 25 at 8 p.m. ET, with the Green Bay Packers facing the Los Angeles Rams.
Two more games follow on Christmas Day. The Green Bay Packers play the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Buffalo Bills against the Denver Broncos at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Netflix will then have a Week 18 game on January 9 at 1 p.m. ET during the final weekend of the regular season. The teams for that matchup have not yet been announced.
The streamer is also expanding its NFL coverage beyond the games themselves, with NFL Honors set to stream globally during the week of the Super Bowl.
Netflix says its NFL games will be available in more than 200 countries in 2026, with broadcasts offered globally in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German.
In the United States, the games will also be available on mobile devices through NFL+. The September 10 49ers-Rams game will additionally air on NBC stations in the teams’ respective local markets.
NBC Sports will produce the games along with the pregame and postgame shows, while EverWonder Studio will serve as an executive producer for Netflix.
