Netflix has released the official trailer for Minerva Academy, a new Italian teen drama set inside a military high school in Naples.
The eight-episode series premieres September 22 on Netflix, following three very different students whose lives collide at a school built around discipline, rules, and expectations that quickly become more complicated than they first appear.

At Minerva Academy, the usual back-to-school routine looks a little different.
Students wake at dawn for the flag-raising ceremony, civilian clothes and mobile phones are forbidden, and military tactics and fencing are part of their education. Romantic relationships are also against the rules.
But the students entering the academy aren’t all there for the same reasons.
At the center of the series are Salvo, Vincenzo and Camilla, three teenagers arriving with very different lives behind them and very different ideas about what they want from the future.
What Is Minerva Academy About?
Ciro Minopoli plays Salvo, who comes to Minerva Academy from a group home. His reason for enrolling goes beyond his education: he wants to discover the truth about what happened to his best friend.
Biagio Venditti stars as Vincenzo, whose ambitions are much more closely connected to the academy itself. He hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue a career in the military.
Then there is Margherita Buoncristiani as Camilla, a privileged teenager from Milan. Her father sends her to the school hoping that its strict environment will change her ways.
Their stories play out against the pressures of life inside Minerva Academy, where students are pushed to their limits while dealing with friendships, rivalries and romances that aren’t supposed to happen.
The series also follows the adults responsible for them. Officers and civilian teachers are expected to educate and guide their students, even as they deal with their own mistakes and uncertainties.
Who Stars in Minerva Academy?
Alongside Ciro Minopoli, Biagio Venditti and Margherita Buoncristiani, the main cast includes Beatrice Savignani, Simone Secce, Giulio Brizzi, Nicole Malaj and Alicia Edogamhe.
They are joined by Massimiliano Gallo, Cristiana Capotondi, Irene Maiorino, Raiz and Michele Rosiello.
The wider cast also includes Antonio Adaggio, Carmen Annibale, Martina Attanasio, Fabio Bizzarro, Viola Brambilla, Luigi Bruno, Martina Pia Gambardella, Pietro Sparvoli and Luigi Zeno.
Minerva Academy Comes to Netflix September 22
The eight-episode series is directed by Ivan Silvestrini and produced by Roberto Sessa for Picomedia, an Asacha Media Company group that is part of Fremantle.
Minerva Academy has already had its first public showing ahead of its Netflix release. The series premiered at the 2026 Giffoni Film Festival.
It will make its streaming debut on September 22, exclusively on Netflix.
