The Gilded Age Season 4 will premiere Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO, with the new season also available to stream on HBO Max.

HBO confirmed the release date for the eight-episode fourth season alongside a new look at what comes next for the Russells, van Rhijns, Marian and Peggy. The consequences of Bertha Russell’s ambitions will be central to the story, while Agnes sees an opportunity to reclaim some of what she has lost.

The Gilded Age Season 4 Deals With the Cost of Bertha’s Success

Bertha Russell got what she wanted, but Season 4 makes clear that her victory came with consequences for the entire family.

According to HBO’s official logline, the Russells will now have to deal with the cost of Bertha’s rise in society. Agnes van Rhijn, meanwhile, spots an opportunity to regain her own position.

Marian is heading in a new direction, while Peggy faces a challenge of her own as she tries to gain acceptance from her future in-laws.

Who Is Returning for The Gilded Age Season 4?

The fourth season brings back the show’s large ensemble, led by Carrie Coon as Bertha Russell, Christine Baranski as Agnes van Rhijn, Cynthia Nixon as Ada Forte, Morgan Spector as George Russell, Louisa Jacobson as Marian Brook and Denée Benton as Peggy Scott.

Also appearing in Season 4 are Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Ben Ahlers, Ashlie Atkinson, Dylan Baker, Kelley Curran, Jordan Donica, Jessica Frances Dukes, Amy Forsyth, Jack Gilpin, Simon Jones, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Ben Lamb, Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Debra Monk.

The cast also includes Hattie Morahan, Donna Murphy, Kristine Nielsen, Kelli O’Hara, Taylor Richardson, Douglas Sills, Erin Wilhelmi, John Douglas Thompson, Taylor Trensch, James Scully, Dennis Haysbert, Maggie Kuntz, Neal Huff, Bonnie Milligan, Jim Gaffigan, Dallas Roberts, Andrew Burnap, Elizabeth Marvel and Adrienne Warren, with Bill Camp and Phylicia Rashad.

When Does The Gilded Age Season 4 Premiere?

The Gilded Age Season 4 premieres November 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.

The new season consists of eight episodes.

Julian Fellowes, who created the series, returns as writer and executive producer. Salli Richardson-Whitfield serves as director and executive producer, while Sonja Warfield is a writer and executive producer.

Gareth Neame, David Crockett, Bob Greenblatt, Kate Churchill, Davita Scarlett and Elaine Aronson also executive produce, with Erica Armstrong Dunbar and Holly Rymon serving as co-executive producers. The Gilded Age is a co-production between HBO and Universal Television.
