Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Season 2 will premiere September 17, 2026, on Netflix, and the official trailer is now out alongside a new batch of images.
The animated Stranger Things series returns with eight 30-minute episodes, bringing Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and Max back for another story set in Hawkins.
Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Season 2 Trailer Brings Another Mystery to Hawkins
Season 2 takes place as Valentine’s Day approaches, but Hawkins has a new problem to deal with. According to Netflix’s official logline, the group must figure out what is behind a series of ghostly apparitions and a swarm of strange creatures causing trouble around town.
The second season will once again feature the younger versions of the familiar Stranger Things characters, with Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper.
Also in the cast are Odessa A’zion as Nikki Baxter, Janeane Garofalo as Anna Baxter, and Lou Diamond Phillips as Daniel Fischer.
The additional voice cast includes Alessandra Antonelli as Nancy Wheeler, Valeria Rodriguez as Rosario, and Jack Griffo as Jeff.
Season 2 Will Have Eight Episodes
Like its first season, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 continues to tell stories within the Stranger Things universe through animation. Season 2 consists of eight episodes, each running approximately 30 minutes.
Eric Robles serves as executive producer, with Ian Graham as co-executive producer. Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer executive produce through Upside Down Pictures, alongside Shawn Levy through 21 Laps, Hilary Leavitt, and Dan Cohen.
