Only Murders in the Building Season 6 will premiere December 8 on Hulu, and this time Charles, Oliver, and Mabel are leaving New York behind.
Hulu announced the release date alongside the first photos from the new season, which takes the trio to London for the first time in the series. New episodes will stream Tuesdays on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S., with Season 6 also releasing on Disney+ internationally.
Only Murders in the Building Season 6 Takes the Mystery to London
The move to London comes with a very personal reason for Charles, Oliver, and Mabel: Cinda Canning is the next murder victim.
According to Hulu’s official synopsis, Cinda arrives at their doorstep and sends the trio to London to find her killer. The case puts them in the midst of a cozy murder mystery and introduces a new cast of suspects as they try to work out what happened to the woman whose podcast helped spark their own true-crime obsession.
It also gives Season 6 a major change of setting. Until now, Only Murders in the Building has been closely tied to New York and, in particular, the Arconia. London takes Charles, Oliver and Mabel well outside the place where they have solved every previous case.
The first-look photos released with the announcement offer an early look at that change, but Hulu has not revealed further details about the investigation beyond the official Season 6 synopsis.
Tina Fey Returns Alongside a Big Season 6 Guest Cast
Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez return as Charles, Oliver and Mabel.
Tina Fey is also back as Cinda Canning, whose murder becomes the central case of the season. She is joined by a substantial guest cast that includes Olivia Colman, Meryl Streep, David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan and Martin Freeman.
Only Murders in the Building was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. Season 6 is executive produced by Hoffman, Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan.
Only Murders in the Building Season 6 premieres December 8 on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally, with new episodes arriving every Tuesday.
