Tom Pelissero Joins Netflix NFL Coverage in Multi-Year Deal With The Ringer

Tom Pelissero is expanding his NFL coverage with a new multi-year agreement spanning Netflix and Spotify’s The Ringer. The veteran NFL insider will join Netflix’s game broadcasts this season while also taking on a larger role across The Ringer’s NFL podcasts and coverage.

His first Netflix assignment comes quickly. Pelissero will work as a sideline reporter and NFL insider for the Rams-49ers game in Melbourne, Australia, on September 10, alongside Noah Eagle, Luke Kuechly and MJ Acosta-Ruiz.

Tom Pelissero Joins Netflix’s NFL Broadcast Team

Pelissero will be part of Netflix’s full slate of NFL games during the 2026 season, giving him several assignments beyond the September game in Australia.

He will be on the sidelines for the NFL’s first Thanksgiving Eve game on November 25, when the Green Bay Packers face the Los Angeles Rams at 8 p.m. ET.

Pelissero will also be part of Netflix’s Christmas Day doubleheader. The Green Bay Packers will play the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. ET on December 25, followed by the Buffalo Bills against the Denver Broncos at 4:30 p.m. ET.

His current Netflix schedule concludes with a Week 18 game on January 9 at 1 p.m. ET during the final weekend of the regular season.

The sideline position isn’t completely new territory for Pelissero. He worked alongside Eagle during the Minnesota Vikings’ 2022 comeback victory over the Indianapolis Colts and has served as NFL Network’s Senior Bowl sideline reporter since 2019.

Pelissero Is Also Taking a Larger Role at The Ringer

The agreement goes beyond Netflix’s live NFL broadcasts.

Pelissero will co-host The Ringer NFL Show and write about the league for The Ringer. During the NFL season, he is also set to appear every Thursday on The Bill Simmons Podcast, as well as on other Ringer shows.

Those roles connect directly to Netflix through its broader partnership with Spotify Studios and The Ringer.

Video versions of participating Ringer podcasts are available on both Netflix and Spotify, meaning Pelissero will now appear across Netflix’s live NFL programming as well as some of the football coverage coming to the service through that podcast agreement.

The Ringer was founded by Bill Simmons in 2016 and acquired by Spotify in 2020. Its podcast network now includes more than 50 shows covering sports, entertainment and other subjects.
