Possible Love Netflix Release Date Set for November 6

Lee Chang-dong’s Possible Love will arrive on Netflix worldwide on November 6, following a limited theatrical release beginning October 23. Netflix announced the dates alongside the film’s teaser key art.

The Korean drama marks Lee’s first film in eight years and brings together Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung and Cho Yeo-jeong. Before its theatrical and Netflix releases, Possible Love will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, followed by its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

What Is Possible Love About?

Possible Love centers on two married couples whose lives look very different when they first cross paths.

Mi-ok (Jeon Do-yeon) lives with her husband Ho-seok (Sul Kyung-gu), who has lost his job, and their young son Cheol. Their lives intersect with Ye-ji (Cho Yeo-jeong), a documentary filmmaker working on a project about laid-off workers, and her husband Sang-woo (Zo In-sung).

Ye-ji and Sang-woo live a much more affluent life than Mi-ok and Ho-seok, but the differences between the couples aren’t the only thing that begins to complicate their relationship.

Mi-ok agrees to take part in Ye-ji’s documentary, bringing the two women closer. At the same time, Mi-ok finds herself drawn to Sang-woo. As the couples spend more time in each other’s lives, problems within both marriages begin to come to the surface.

Possible Love Marks Lee Chang-dong’s First Film in Eight Years

Lee Chang-dong directs Possible Love from a screenplay he co-wrote with Oh Jung-mi.
