Prime Video has revealed its upcoming Italian slate during Prime Video Presents Italy 2026 in Rome. The event celebrated ten years of Prime Video in Italy while introducing new original movies, series, returning shows, and release updates for previously announced projects.
The Prime Video Presents Italy 2026 showcase included several new productions, multiple season renewals, exclusive first looks, and release windows for titles arriving across 2026 and 2027. From romantic comedies and psychological thrillers to English-language originals and returning reality hits, Prime Video shared one of its largest Italian lineups to date.
New Movies Announced at Prime Video Presents Italy 2026
Prime Video introduced two brand-new films while also sharing updates on several previously announced projects.
Come Distruggere l’Ex
The new romantic comedy stars Greta Scarano, Dario Aita, and Eugenio Franceschini. The story follows Miriam, a programmer working for a dating app who decides to sabotage her ex-boyfriend’s matches after he unexpectedly ends their seven-year relationship. Directed by Alessio Maria Federici, the film is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Picomedia and will launch worldwide on Prime Video.
Un’Altra Madre
Prime Video also announced the psychological thriller Un’altra madre, starring Sabrina Impacciatore, Alessandro Borghi, Francesco Gheghi, Carlotta Gamba, and Pierluigi Gigante.
Set at a remote countryside retreat, the story centers on therapist Olga and her troubled son Lorenzo. The arrival of a mysterious guest named Tommaso threatens the fragile balance between the participants and exposes long-buried secrets. The film is directed by Francesco Carrozzini and produced by Amazon MGM Studios alongside Lucky Red and Genesis.
Masterplan Gets a Release Date
Prime Video revealed the first teaser trailer for Masterplan and confirmed that the English-language French-Italian production will premiere on October 16.
The heist film stars Stanley Tucci, Simona Tabasco, and Victor Belmondo. The story follows a legendary thief who recruits two strangers for a major art theft before revealing they are actually his children. The film was shot across Italy and France and will launch in more than 240 countries and territories.
More Film Updates
Several previously announced films also received updates:
- Ministry of Love (Il Ministero dell’Amore) will debut later in 2026 and stars Pif, Corrado Guzzanti, Pietro Sermonti, Angela Finocchiaro, and Alessandra Mastronardi.
- Blame It on Rome, starring Gabrielle Union and Michele Morrone, is scheduled for release in 2027.
- Love Me Love Me 2, based on the second novel in Stefania S.’s popular series, will also arrive in 2027 with Mia Jenkins, Pepe Barroso Silva, and Luca Melucci returning.

Alongside the movie slate, Prime Video unveiled several new scripted series.
Bro
The eight-episode comedy stars Can Yaman and Giovanni Nasta as stepbrother lawyers forced to work together to save their family firm.
The series follows two completely different personalities who must learn to trust each other while dealing with work, family tensions, and romantic complications. The series is produced by Lux Vide and Amazon MGM Studios.
Due Cuori in Affitto
Based on one of Felicia Kingsley’s most popular novels, Due Cuori in Affitto stars Giacomo Gianniotti as Blake Avery.
The story follows aspiring screenwriter Stella and bestselling author Blake, who are forced to share a seaside villa while trying to save a struggling television series. Laura Chiossone directs the adaptation following her work on Non è un paese per single.
Il Giorno Perfetto (The Perfect Day)
Diana Del Bufalo and Pierpaolo Spollon lead this romantic comedy series about an event planner whose career collapses after a public scandal.
She ends up working as a wedding planner alongside a colleague she recently met under very different circumstances. The series is directed by Michela Andreozzi.
Ingorgo
Based on the Spanish format Atasco, Ingorgo takes place during a massive traffic jam that brings together dozens of different characters.
The ensemble cast includes Mario Ermito, Matilde Gioli, Corrado Guzzanti, Alessandra Mastronardi, Lucia Ocone, Ilenia Pastorelli, and Gian Marco Tognazzi. The comedy series will launch in Italy this autumn.

Postcards From Italy
The six-episode English-language series stars Nicole Wallace as Mia, a wealthy New York heiress who is sent to Palermo and forced to live without the privileges she has always relied on.
The cast also includes Sebastiano Pigazzi, Filippo De Carli, Maria Vera Ratti, Niccolò Senni, Vincent Riotta, Paola Minaccioni, and Martina Gatti. The series is expected in 2027.
Super Market
The workplace comedy is set inside a chaotic neighborhood supermarket on the outskirts of Milan.
Starring Alessandro Betti, Katia Follesa, Marta Zoboli, Francesco Arienzo, Tommaso Cassissa, Gaia Bavaro, Davide Calgaro, Martina Bonan, Walter Leonardi, and Valerio Airò Rochelmeyer, the six-episode series premieres on July 17.
Renewals and Returning Shows

Pesci Piccoli Season 3
The Jackal comedy series will return in 2027 with Ciro Priello, Fabio Balsamo, Aurora Leone, Gianluca Fru, and Martina Tinnirello back for another season.
The Traitors Italia Season 2
The reality competition returns this autumn with six new episodes hosted once again by Alessia Marcuzzi.
