There’s a memory underneath it, when Margo was small, Shaynee held her wrong too, couldn’t settle her, and yet, despite being the parent who stayed, Margo always felt better with Jinx. Eventually, they find their footing, and something between them loosens a little.
Everything That Comes Out
Susie has been taking cosplay photos of Margo for her OnlyFans account. Jinx walks in on it without warning, and the whole thing comes out, the account, what it actually is, how it became her job. When he asks if it’s pornography, she says no, but the moment he asks to see it, he figures out there are nudes. They fight: Jinx says it’s not something an honorable person does. Margo tells him she has a son to provide for, and he doesn’t get to judge her for that.
The Convention
Jinx tells Margo he’s thinking about going to a fan convention. He asks her to come so she can see his world and get to know each other a bit better outside the apartment. Margo agrees.
At the convention, they run into Lace, played by Nicole Kidman, who now works as a lawyer in a small practice. Lace and Jinx give the fans what they came for, and around them, with that crowd, Jinx is a different person. Then he falls, it’s bad enough that he can’t move, and he’s been taken to the emergency tent.
Before going to the emergency care, he tells Margo something: he’s going to tell the doctors he has no history of drug use. He won’t take anything home with him either. He knows how that goes.
