BEEF Season 2: Finneas O’Connell Joins Netflix Anthology Series as Composer Ahead of April Premiere

The BEEF Season 2 Netflix anthology series will feature an original score by Finneas O’Connell, the multi-Academy Award and eleven-time GRAMMY® Award-winning musician, songwriter, and producer. Netflix and A24 confirmed the collaboration ahead of the series’ return on April 16, 2026.

Finneas spent the past year composing music for the new installment of the acclaimed anthology series. The upcoming season consists of eight episodes and introduces a new storyline and cast while continuing the show’s exploration of conflict and human relationships.

O’Connell described the experience of scoring the series in a statement reflecting on the process.

“Spent the last 12 months in BEEF land. All 8 episodes out April 16, all original music by me. Very grateful to Sonny for involving me, very grateful for the incredible performances from the entire cast; I probably watched every scene 100 times while I scored the show and I felt it every time. True fan of this show, very honored and proud to be a part of it.”

The second installment of BEEF follows the success of the first season, which premiered in 2023.

The New Story at the Center of BEEF Season 2

The BEEF Season 2 Netflix anthology series returns with a new cast and a new conflict.

The story begins when a Gen-Z couple witnesses a disturbing argument between their employer and his wife. The confrontation pulls them into a complicated personal and professional situation at work.

Ashley Miller, played by Cailee Spaeny, and Austin Davis, portrayed by Charles Melton, are newly engaged employees at a country club. Their lives become entangled in the unraveling marriage of their boss, Joshua Martín, played by Oscar Isaac, and his wife Lindsay Crane-Martín, portrayed by Carey Mulligan.

The two couples navigate a series of exchanges involving favors and pressure as they seek approval from the club’s billionaire owner.

That owner is Chairwoman Park, played by Youn Yuh-jung, who is also dealing with her own public scandal involving her second husband, Doctor Kim, portrayed by Song Kang-ho.

The season places these characters within a shared environment where professional power, personal ambition, and private conflicts intersect.

Lee Sung Jin Returns as Creator and Showrunner

The BEEF Season 2 Netflix anthology series is created and led by Lee Sung Jin, who returns as showrunner, writer, director, and executive producer.

He has an incredible ability to make the darkest emotions sound so achingly beautiful, and I cannot wait for everyone to hear what he’s cooked up.”

Executive producers on the series include Jake Schreier, Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, Anna Moench, Kitao Sakurai, and Ethan Kuperberg.

The project is produced by A24, which continues its partnership with Netflix on the anthology.
