Netflix, Higher Ground, and Amblin Television confirmed that the multiple Academy Award–winning composer Hans Zimmer and his collective, Bleeding Fingers Music, will create the score for the upcoming thriller series adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s novel All the Sinners Bleed. The series is currently in production in Atlanta, Georgia.
The announcement places one of contemporary cinema’s most prolific composers at the center of Netflix’s latest literary adaptation.

The Hans Zimmer All the Sinners Bleed collaboration brings Zimmer together with showrunner, writer, executive producer, and director Joe Robert Cole. Bleeding Fingers Music, the composer collective co-founded by Zimmer, will also contribute to the score.
Zimmer described the series as living “in the tension between faith, violence, and redemption,” adding that music speaks most powerfully within such moral complexity. He stated that he and Bleeding Fingers Music are proud to collaborate with Netflix, Higher Ground, and Amblin on a series that allows the score to breathe in silence as much as in chaos.
Joe Robert Cole, known for Black Panther, All Day and a Night, and American Crime Story, emphasized Zimmer’s ability to craft themes that emotionally anchor audiences in a story’s world. Cole noted that the series explores both the lighter and darker halves of human nature and expressed excitement about Zimmer interpreting that central tension through music.

The official logline states: Haunted by his devout mother’s untimely death, the first Black Sheriff in a small Bible Belt county must lead the hunt for a serial killer who has preyed on his Black community for years in the name of God.
