What the Series Is About
North of North follows Siaja, a young Inuk mother attempting to rebuild her life in the small Arctic community of Ice Cove. The series centers on Siaja’s personal growth and relationships within a tight-knit town, balancing everyday challenges with humor rooted in place and community.

North of North premiered in Canada on APTN and CBC in January 2025, before launching globally on Netflix in April 2025. Since its debut, the series has maintained a 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a rare achievement for a scripted comedy series.
The show earned five awards at the 2025 Directors Guild of Canada Awards, including Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Comedy Series for Danis Goulet and Comedy Series Crew of the Year.
