Netflix’s Shane Gillis partnership is officially expanding. Netflix has announced a new creative partnership with comedian Shane Gillis and director-writer John McKeever, formalizing an overall deal that covers scripted series, films, unscripted projects, and stand-up comedy.
As part of the announcement, Netflix confirmed that Tires Season 3 has started production in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The series will return with 12 new episodes in 2026, continuing the collaboration between Gillis and McKeever that began with the show’s first season in 2024.

Under the new deal, Gillis will develop and star in multiple projects for Netflix. The agreement includes two new stand-up comedy specials produced exclusively for the platform, alongside continued work on scripted and unscripted content.
Netflix also confirmed that Gillis and McKeever will continue developing projects through their production company, Dad Sick Productions. No additional titles beyond Tires and the stand-up specials were announced at this time.
Tires Season 3 production details
Tires Season 3 officially entered production today in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The upcoming season will consist of 12 episodes and is slated to release in 2026.
The series stars Shane Gillis as Shane, alongside Steve Gerben as Will, Stavros Halkias as Dave, Kilah Fox as Kilah, and Chris O’Connor as Cal. Thomas Haden Church returns as Phil and has been promoted to series regular following his introduction in Season 2.
Netflix noted that both previous seasons of Tires have earned over 25 million views since launching in 2024. The show spent multiple weeks on the U.S. Top 10 TV list and also appeared in Netflix’s global Top 10 English-language TV rankings.

Tracey Pakosta, Vice President of Comedy Series at Netflix U.S., addressed the expanded Netflix Shane Gillis partnership in an official statement.
She described Gillis’ comedy as “unapologetic” and referenced the show’s grounding in everyday situations. Pakosta also confirmed Netflix’s interest in continuing the collaboration by bringing more projects from Gillis and McKeever to global audiences.
Netflix and Shane Gillis history
Before the expanded partnership with Netflix, Gillis and the streaming service had already collaborated on several projects. His first Netflix comedy special, Beautiful Dogs, premiered in 2023 and marked the beginning of their formal working relationship.
Gillis also sold out two performances during Netflix Is a Joke Fest in May 2024. Netflix confirmed that an additional stand-up special from Gillis is scheduled to debut later this year, separate from the two new specials included in the overall deal.
Tires is the second production from Dad Sick Productions, following Beautiful Dogs. The series was created by Shane Gillis, Steve Gerben, and John McKeever, with McKeever also serving as director.
