Netflix has released a first look at Loguetown, one of the most iconic locations in the One Piece saga, as the live-action series readies its highly anticipated second season.
The images tease the next leg of Monkey D. Luffy’s journey, bringing the Straw Hat crew closer to the legendary Grand Line.
The series stars Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, alongside Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji). Season 2 promises to raise the stakes with new foes, stranger islands, and an even more dangerous sea.
Into the Grand Line
Titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, the new chapter follows the Straw Hats as they leave the East Blue and face the unpredictable waters that define pirate legend. The Grand Line is notorious for its bizarre weather, fantastical islands, and deadly opponents, a perfect backdrop for Luffy’s dream of becoming King of the Pirates.
Loguetown, where the Pirate King was executed and where Luffy takes an important step toward his destiny, marks a turning point for the crew. Its arrival in the series signals a shift from light-hearted beginnings to the darker, more complex adventures ahead.

Why Loguetown matters
For manga and anime fans, Loguetown is a pivotal setting: it’s both a symbolic send-off from the East Blue and a test of resolve before the Grand Line. Its inclusion suggests the live-action adaptation will stay faithful to Eiichiro Oda’s narrative beats while adapting them for new viewers.
The town’s design, from bustling docks to execution platform, is a fan-favorite challenge for any adaptation. Netflix’s first look hints at a vibrant, lived-in location that balances fantasy with tangible detail.
