Haunted Hotel: Netflix’s New Adult Animated Comedy from Matt Roller Arrives September 19

Haunted Hotel, the new adult animated comedy from Rick & Morty writer Matt Roller, is checking in at Netflix on September 19, 2025, and the official trailer is here to give fans their first look.

The 10-episode series blends family sitcom dynamics with supernatural chaos, following the Freeling family as they run a haunted hotel with the help, and occasional hindrance, of its resident ghosts.

A Comedy for Fans of Ghosts, Cults, and Even Blenders

“I can’t wait for everyone to meet the Freeling family and see how they tackle nightmare guests and ghosts in our beautifully animated hotel,” Roller said. “This is a show for fans of comedy, horror, horror comedy, families, hotels, cults, monsters with tentacles, monsters without tentacles, werewolves, and blenders.”

In Haunted Hotel, Katherine (Eliza Coupe) is a single mother juggling parenthood, guests from the afterlife, and a building full of paranormal problems. Her estranged brother Nathan (Will Forte) is now one of the hotel’s ghosts, and he thinks the other spirits might have some pretty good ideas.
