‘Alice in Borderland’ Season 3 Sets Global Premiere Date, The Final Card Is in Play

The final game begins this fall. Alice in Borderland returns for its long-awaited third season on September 25, streaming exclusively on Netflix.

One card remains: the Joker. And with it, a new level of danger, mystery, and desperation.

Adapted from Haro Aso’s popular manga, the Japanese sci-fi thriller has built a global cult following for its high-stakes survival games and emotional core. Now, the series prepares to close its story with a final chapter that pushes Arisu and Usagi to their limits.

The Story So Far, and What’s Next

At the end of Season 2, fans were left with one haunting image: the Joker card. After surviving increasingly brutal rounds, Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) believed they might finally be free. But Season 3 flips that hope on its head.

This time, it’s personal. When Usagi is abducted by a mysterious scholar obsessed with the afterlife, Arisu is pulled back into the twisted world of the “Borderland.” To save her, he must face a whole new stage of the game, along with a fresh group of players equally desperate to return to the real world. The Joker card holds the answers, but also the greatest threat yet.
