He told you he’d be back, and he meant it.

What’s FUBAR All About?

At its core, FUBAR is a spy-comedy series about secrets and the lies we tell the people closest to us.

Season 1 revealed that veteran CIA operative Luke Brunner had spent years hiding his job from his daughter, Emma, only to discover she also worked for the agency. Their dysfunctional dynamic powered the show’s outing, blending action, sarcasm, and generational tension.

Now, in Season 2, Luke is facing a new threat, and this one hits even closer to home. An old flame resurfaces, but she’s not here for a reunion. She’s out to settle scores, and her plans could destroy the world or at least Luke’s already complicated life.

Previously Revealed: Carrie-Anne Moss Joins the Fight

Earlier this spring, Netflix confirmed that The Matrix and Jessica Jones star Carrie-Anne Moss joins FUBAR Season 2 as a high-stakes adversary with a personal history. Playing a villain from Luke Brunner’s past, Moss brings a sharp edge to the series, raising emotional and operational stakes for Schwarzenegger’s CIA operative. Her character, Greta Nelso, is more than just a threat to global security; she’s the ghost of missions past, and she’s ready to push Luke to his limits.

Season 2: What to Expect

Based on the trailer and early images, expect a wilder ride this season. There are bigger set pieces, more undercover assignments, and an increasingly complicated father-daughter relationship at the heart of it all.

Where Season 1 focused on secret identities and trust issues, Season 2 dives deeper into the emotional fallout of living double lives, all while introducing a global threat with very personal roots for Luke. If that sounds like the perfect setup for a Schwarzenegger comeback, it is.
