Netflix has officially announced the return of Somebody Feed Phil for its eighth season, set to premiere on June 18, 2025.

The beloved food and travel docuseries, hosted by the ever-curious and always-hungry Phil Rosenthal, is back with eight new episodes, and this time, the passport stamps are coming from even more diverse corners of the globe.

New Destinations, Same Phil

In Season 8, Phil’s appetite for connection through cuisine takes him to a fresh lineup of cities: Amsterdam, Tbilisi, Sydney, Adelaide, Manila, Las Vegas, Guatemala, San Sebastian, and Boston.

Each episode promises the signature blend of local culture, delicious food, and heartfelt moments that have become the series’ hallmark.

Whether slurping noodles on a side street or sharing stories over a home-cooked meal, Phil continues to explore the world with disarming charm and genuine curiosity. Expect new dishes, new laughs, and new friends along the way.

From Sitcoms to Street Food

Long before he was offering travel tips or taking bites out of burritos on camera, Rosenthal was best known as the creator and executive producer of Everybody Loves Raymond, one of the most successful sitcoms of its era. But since then, he’s carved out a second act that mixes comedy with cuisine, and viewers keep returning for more.

The show has earned several accolades, including a 2022 Critics’ Choice Real TV Award for “Best Travel/Adventure Show” and a James Beard Award nomination for long-form visual media. Phil was named “Male Star of the Year” by the Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards in 2021.

Alongside the series, Rosenthal has published a companion book, Somebody Feed Phil The Book, and recently co-authored a children’s book with his daughter Lily titled Just Try It: A Phil and Lil Book.
