A new generation of film lovers will soon have a front-row seat to experience the cinematic legacy of Alfred Hitchcock, as Netflix announces a curated collection of his most iconic films—both on its platform and at the legendary Paris Theater in New York City.
Starting June 1, Netflix will launch a U.S.-exclusive streaming collection featuring Hitchcock’s essential works, including Vertigo, Rear Window, Frenzy, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Family Plot, The Birds, and others. The collection also showcases the filmmaker’s enduring influence with films like Us and Barbarian, alongside Hitchcock (2012), a narrative feature starring Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren, directed by Sacha Gervasi.
For those eager to revisit the classic that revolutionized the horror genre, Psycho is already available to stream now.

“HITCH! The Original Cinema Influencer” at the Paris Theater
Running from May 16 to June 29, the Paris Theater will host a six-week retrospective titled “HITCH! The Original Cinema Influencer,” co-presented with the New York Film Critics Circle as part of the critics group’s 90th anniversary celebrations. The event will feature over 50 films, including 36 directed by Hitchcock himself, alongside films that inspired him, were created in his style, or pay direct homage to his legacy.
The screening series is a comprehensive look at Hitchcock’s range—from his early British thrillers like Blackmail to Hollywood masterpieces such as North by Northwest and The Birds. Notably, 35 films in the series will screen in 35mm, offering a rare opportunity for cinephiles to view these films as they were originally intended. Highlights include Vertigo, Rear Window, Henri-Georges Clouzot’s Diabolique, and François Truffaut’s The Bride Wore Black—a film directly influenced by Hitchcock’s techniques.
A Legacy That Still Shapes Cinema Today
Hitchcock’s stylistic fingerprints can be found across genres and generations. His mastery of suspense, psychological tension, and visual storytelling laid the groundwork for modern horror and thriller filmmaking. Today’s audiences continue to be drawn to the emotional intensity and visual precision of his work—an enduring appeal that makes this collection especially timely.
Whether you’re discovering Hitchcock for the first time or revisiting an old favorite, this summer offers multiple ways to immerse yourself in the mind of a master.
