Netflix has officially confirmed that Heartstopper will return for one final chapter — this time, as a feature film.
The announcement, timed with the third anniversary of the show’s debut, marks the next and final step in the journey of Nick and Charlie, concluding the story in line with the upcoming sixth and final volume of Alice Oseman’s graphic novel series.
A Story That Stays True to Its Source
Following three seasons of heartfelt storytelling, Heartstopper has built a dedicated following around its authentic portrayal of young love and friendship. The film will closely follow the narrative arc of Volume Six, offering a faithful continuation of the series’ themes of connection, self-discovery, and growing up.
Production is scheduled to begin in summer 2025, with creator Alice Oseman returning as writer. Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice, Colette) will direct the feature, bringing a cinematic lens to the concluding chapter of the beloved story.
Returning Cast and Creative Team
Actors Kit Connor and Joe Locke will reprise their roles as Nick and Charlie, and for the first time, both also join the project as executive producers. The film is produced by See-Saw Films, with a team of returning and new talent:
