The future is bleak, brilliant, and back. Black Mirror returns to Netflix on April 10, 2025, with six new episodes—including the long-awaited sequel to the fan-favorite sci-fi episode “USS Callister.”
Created by Charlie Brooker, the Emmy-winning anthology series has become synonymous with sharp satire, unsettling technology, and mind-bending storytelling. Season 7 promises to deliver all of that and more, with an all-new cast, provocative concepts, and a return to one of its most iconic storylines.

What to Expect from Season 7
Following the show’s tradition of standalone episodes, Season 7 will once again explore the darker sides of modern society, tech obsession, and human behavior—all set in twisted alternate realities and not-so-distant futures. The highlight? A follow-up to “USS Callister,” the Season 4 sci-fi episode starring Jesse Plemons and Cristin Milioti that reimagined Star Trek-style adventures with a sinister edge.
The sequel is expected to revisit the digital universe left in limbo—where trapped consciousness, tech ethics, and power games collide.

A Return to Digital Space
First released in 2017 as part of Black Mirror Season 4, USS Callister offered a sinister, satirical spin on space operas like Star Trek. The episode followed Robert Daly (Jesse Plemons), a reclusive programmer who builds a private virtual universe—then populates it with digital clones of his real-world co-workers, trapping their consciousnesses inside a game.
What started as homage quickly spiraled into horror, as Daly’s god-like control turned the USS Callister into a high-tech prison. The story ended with a rebellion inside the simulation, leaving the clones free in their new digital world—but with unknown dangers lurking in cyberspace.
Now, nearly eight years later, we’re finally going back.
