Tyler Perry’s Beloved Character Returns In New Film Madea’s Destination Wedding
New Comedy Series, Tyler Perry’s She The People Debuts 2025
During the Next on Netflix presentation, Netflix and Tyler Perry announced two new projects: a new film, Madea’s Destination Wedding, and a new comedy series, She The People.
The new projects mark Tyler Perry’s sixth film and second series from his creative partnership with Netflix, which sees him write, direct, and produce films, series, and faith-based features.
Netflix also released first-look images from these projects and unveiled Tyler Perry’s entire 2025 slate, which includes Part 2 of the hit drama series Beauty in Black, set to return on March 6, 2025; the drama feature Straw; and the faith-based feature R&B.
Perry’s latest film out of the creative partnership, The Six Triple Eight, was his most viewed film through its first four weeks, and the release boosted viewing for his other films by 45%.
MADEA’S DESTINATION WEDDING
Madea’s Destination Wedding is the second film from the Madea franchise to be released on Netflix. A Madea Homecoming debuted at #1 on the Global Top 10 Films List (English) in 2022, and spent four weeks on the list.
