Academy Award-nominated actor Colman Domingo (Rustin, The Color Purple, Michael) has joined the cast of The Four Seasons, an all-new comedy series adaptation from Tina Fey, Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.
Domingo joins previously announced stars Fey and Steve Carell in a series regular role.

THE FOUR SEASONS LOGLINE
Middle-aged couples Jack and Kate Burroughs, Nick and Anne Callan, and Danny and Claudia Zimmer are best friends who do everything together. As couples, they have weathered the flood of divorces that has beset their other friends. When one of the six decides to make a change in life, the other five are forced to examine their marriages, their friendships with one another, the true meaning of love, and their own personal foibles.
Over the course of one year, the movie is set against the backdrop of four vacations they take together, one in each of the four seasons, with Antonio Vivaldi’s associated suite of music introducing each. By their fourth vacation together, Jack feels that they need to “clear the air.”
THE FOUR SEASONS WILL BEGIN PRODUCTION IN AUGUST 2024
The series, produced by Universal Television, is based on the 1981 feature film of the same name from Universal Pictures written and directed by Alan Alda, produced by Martin Bregman, and starred Alda and Carol Burnett.
Fey is co-creating the adaptation with Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.
The collaborative history of Fey, Fisher and Wigfield goes back to the final season of 30 Rock, which Fisher had joined in the final season and for which Fey and Wigfield shared the Emmy for writing the series finale. Alan Alda was also a recurring guest on 30 Rock.
