KELLY ROWLAND AS MEA HARPER
Mea is a confident and strong-willed criminal defense attorney. However, her decision to take on the murder case of artist Zyair Malloy creates a conflict with her family. Mea’s brother-in-law, Ray, is the assistant district attorney, and he is not happy about Mea representing Zyair. Despite this, Mea is determined to handle the case and believes that she is the best-suited attorney for the job.
TREVANTE RHODES as ZYAIR MALLOY
Zyair is an ambiguous artist. He is accused of killing his girlfriend, but despite all the evidence pointing to Zyair, he keeps claiming his innocence.

Mea’s husband Kal is struggling to get back on track after losing his job.
NICK SAGAR AS RAY
Ray is Mea’s brother-in-law and the Assistant District Attorney who will be prosecuting Zyair’s case. He intends to use the artist as the face of his upcoming mayoral campaign that focuses on being tough on crime. However, he gets entangled in his own web of lies while trying to accomplish this.

Jimmy is the private investigator hired by Mea to look into the loose ends in Zyair’s case.

Charlise is Ray’s wife and Mea’s sister-in-law. These two women share a special bond, often leaning on each.

Azalia is Ray and Kal’s mother. The woman is not particularly fond of her sons’ spouses and tends to get involved in their lives inappropriately, thinking she knows what’s best for them.
